Suhaas and Pam got the cover of Nature Cardiovascular Research!
Suhaas and Pam recently published their work “Blood flow modeling reveals improved collateral artery performance during the regenerative period in mammalian hearts” and landed on the cover! Read their work here: Volume 1 Issue 8, August 2022
“The figure adapted from Anbazhakan et al. represents imaging (black and white), hemodynamic forces (magenta), and collateral artery tracing (cyan) in a cohesive collage. The use of a collage symbolizes the interdisciplinary nature of this work.” - nature cardiovascular research
Congrats, Dr. Anbazhakan!
Congratulations Suhaas, now formally Dr. Anbazhakan!
He defended his thesis on “Evaluating the Impact of Coronary Collateral Flow in Mammalian Hearts” on August 16th with some of his closest friends and family in attendance. Suhaas was co-mentored by the Marsden and Red-Horse labs, and masterfully combined his passion for engineering and biology to work on his multidisciplinary project. See his latest publication on the cover of Nature Cardiovascular Research here.
Welcome to the lab, Azalia!
The Red-Horse Lab has a new graduate student, Azalia Martinez Jaimes (Developmental Biology)!
We are very excited to have her on our team and wish her a warm welcome!
A great to be hooded. Here’s to all the hard work, soon to be Dr. Suhaas!
